How do our intensive courses work?
Undertaking an automatic intensive driving course with DrewMatic could not be easier. Lach and every one of our intensive and semi-intensive courses take the following format, without exception!
- We'll first assess your experience and availability over the telephone, and by filling our a short questionnaire. If we feel it is appropriate, we will also carry out a short driving assessment.
- We will offer our reccomendation on the intensive or semi-intensive driving course that best suits your needs. If you are happy with our reccomendation, you can book it in and pay for it.
- We will book your test for you, and arrange a start date with your instructor to begin your course.

Am I guaranteed to pass first time?
Now, just so that we are perfectly clear and honest with you, unless you can guarantee us that you won’t make any mistakes on test, we can’t guarantee you that you’ll pass first time, but what we can guarantee you is that you’ll receive some of the best intensive driver training anywhere.
Can I start driving and take my test as soon as I book my course?
Unfortunately not. The DVSA are the Government Department that publish Driving Test dates, and they’re out of our control. What we will do is arrange your course around those dates and agree with you, in advance, a test date that would be suitable for you.
How do the courses work?
Our Intensive Driving Courses take the following format, without exception.
- Verbal Assessment and questionnaire via telephone about your experience and availability
- Driving Assessment (if agreed to be appropriate)
- Recommendation
- Pay For Your Course
- Book Test
- Arrange Course
With Semi-Intensive, you do not have to have passed your Theory Test, but it is incumbent upon you to pass this as soon as possible as you purchase your Theory Test Fee as part of the package.
You will take lessons at the rate of One or Two x 2 Hour lessons per week until Theory passed, you then take your remaining hours and condense all your lessons in to the week or weeks approaching test as though it was an intensive.
With an Intensive Automatic Driving Course, we set and agree your test date and you will do a 2 hour lesson every day in the weeks or week before your test.
For example, if you test was on the 20th, and you were doing a 20 Hour Course, you’d start on the 10th and do a lesson every day until your test on the 20th.
Remember though, these courses are designed around you, so you can arrange the course around your availability!
Do I have to have taken a theory test?
You must have passed your theory to take an Intensive course.
For Semi-Intensive, theory is not immediately required.
